Textile Technology Management

The Textile Technology Management program creates independent scholars in the fields of product development, technology management, marketing and management for application in the textile and apparel industry. 

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of textiles, students pursuing a Ph.D. in Textile Technology Management research a nearly unlimited range of topics, including: 

  • Yarn and fabric formation  
  • Product development and design 
  • Supply chain management
  • Sustainable production and consumption
  • Innovative technology applications 
  • Consumer behavior 
  • Market analysis

Small Community, Big Resources 

Close to 50 students are enrolled in the program, creating a close knit community. However, this small program within a tier-one research institution means that your resources and connections are anything but limited.

Deadlines for Spring 2023 Start: July 15 for international students, Nov. 25 for U.S. citizens

Deadlines for Fall 2023 Start: March 1 for international students, June 25 for U.S. citizens

Please be advised that many funding decisions are made during March and April. While the formal deadline for U.S. citizens is June 25, you are advised to apply early to be eligible for available funding.

Simulating Life-Saving Solutions

During his time as a TTM student, alumnus Brandon King (’21) used simulation and data analysis to help nurses find the best way to meet a life-saving goal: reaching patients in cardiac arrest within two minutes.
