If you’re looking to avoid the summer slide or help your student decide what they might want to study in college, you’ve come to the right place.

The Wilson College of Textiles offers three summer camps. Each of these pre-college programs is filled with on-campus experiences and hands-on learning.

Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP)

STEP shows rising high school seniors what it’s like to be a Wilson College student. Live on campus, complete a project tied to one of our degree programs, and learn about our scholarship programs during this summer camp.

TexTEC Camp

This two-day workshop is designed for high school students interested in technology, engineering or chemistry (TEC). They’ll engage in hands-on labs and learn about degree programs and scholarships at the Wilson College of Textiles.

TEXplore

TEXplore is a summer enrichment and Saturday academy program for underrepresented middle school students from Gaston County. Students will take part in lab experiments, learn about textile-related STEM programs, and even spend a week on NC State’s campus.
